An innovative and groundbreaking product, Life Mel was evaluated in a research study published in the prestigious medical journal "Medical Oncology". The study reported that Life Mel can have a positive effect in increasing counts for red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets in the blood, and thus may be beneficial for people with reduced immunity.

Neutropenia is a disorder characterized by an abnormally low number of neutrophils. Neutrophils usually make up 50-70% of circulating white blood cells and serve as the primary defense against infections by destroying bacteria in the blood. Hence, patients with neutropenia are more susceptible to bacterial infections and, without prompt medical attention, the condition may become life-threatening (neutropenic sepsis).

The clinical study in Ziv Hospital ( http://www.ziv.org.il ) examined whether LifeMel can help prevent neutropenia. The results were published in "Medical Oncology", vol. 23, No. 4, 459-552, 2006.
